Pilates
Pilates is a physical fitness system developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates. The program focuses on the core postural muscles that balance the body and support the spine. In particular, Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the spine. A major focus is to strengthen the deep core muscles.
At Muller and Weber Physical Therapy we have found Pilates to be a wonderful addition to our rehabilitation of patients with various injuries and needs. Emily Draws is a highly skilled Pilates Instructor, and a great resource of Pilates knowledge. She utilizes her skill to aid in the rehabilitation of our physical therapy patients. She designs custom tailored programs to meet the individual needs for private clients as well as current and former patients. These exercise programs are designed for people of all ages and needs.
